Spencer's First Birthday

Spencer LOVES peach pie so that is what he got to eat at his first birthday party. He didn't really make that big of a mess either.

We had 5 pies altogether that our guests could enjoy. It's just not the same to blow out candles on a pie as it is on a cake. Oh well! We had a great time.

Lots of presents to open. He was overwhelmed.

Aunt Shir came to the party. Austin is playing with "his new toys". He thought they were all for him to play with. Good thing brothers share toys.

Both grandpa's are busy trying to get toys ready to be played with.

What is Spencer playing with? Wrapping paper!!! Who needs toys?!?

Austin coming to help open the next gift.

We had a great day. Thanks everyone for coming to visit us and spend the day with us. We Love you!

Oktoberfest at Snowbird

Kind of a Viehweg tradition we go up to Oktoberfest one Saturday for lunch and browse through the booths avoiding the many drunk people up there. It's always delicious to get a braut and kraut and a slice of German Chocolate Cake.

Austin couldn't help but go out and dance to the "Umpa Lumpa" music. It was so cute!

Grandma V even took Spencie out and joined Austin in his dance. Hilarious!!!!

The Barn at Thanksgiving Point

On the Horse Pulled Wagon ride.

Austin on a horse for the first time. Daddy walked around the circle once with him and then Austin was OK to hold on by himself. He liked it and didn't want to get off the pony ride.

Riding the wood tractor in the kids playroom.

Funny Uncle Brett riding the wood tractor too.

Spencer had the best ride around the Barn.

Austin thought this cow bench was so funny.

Austin wasn't too sure about the cows. He needed Daddy right there next to him.

Morning Walks on the Beach

Just outside our condo there were these beautiful flowers to greet us each morning.

This was the end goal each morning. He is still asleep even after Ben took off the carrier, he is sitting on the kitchen table in our condo.

Zonked out. Steady walking and the sound of the ocean is so peaceful.

So happy to be outside for our morning walk each morning.

He loves looking for shells and walking in the sand.

Looking for shells. Today he found a glow stick.

" Look Dad, I found another one!"

There is Ruby's Diner on the pier behind Ben. As you can see there are not many people on the beach at 6:00 in the morning. We basically had it all to ourselves each morning. We found a lot of shells.

Following Dad close to the edge of the water.

The Beach

Austin filling up his bucket of water.

This was as far as Austin would go in the water.

All the boys in the water.

Austin and Sydni in the water. That is Ben above Sydni's head.

Ben and Brett on the boogie boards.

Spencie liked to be buried in the sand.
