Oceanside - The nice, warm sand

Ahhhhh, the nice, warm sand between your toes! The first day we went to the beach it got kind of windy and cold. We opted not to try the ocean water (except Ben, of course, who would go in if icebergs were floating 20 yards off the shore!) and went with the nice, warm sand instead. Austin agreed. And like any good baby, he also tried to eat the nice, warm sand. Yummy!

Oceanside - Sleeping

You would think, given these pictures, that Austin slept a lot during the trip. Yeah well, these would be the four naps total that he took during our stay at Oceanside. The longest lasted about 45 minutes. He didn't miss much.

Oceanside - San Diego Temple

This is such a beautiful temple. And we managed to meet people from West Valley and feed Austin in the parking lot all at the same time!

Austin's First Pool Experience

Oceanside - Swimming in the pool

This was Austin's first experience swimming. He really didn't react even when he had water up to his shoulders. I guess he's going to be a water bug!

Oceanside - Walking the beach

All three of us enjoyed walking the beach in the mornings and evenings almost everyday. Austin spent most of his time staring at the waves or sleeping. We also managed to find quite a few shells at low tide in the mornings. This was one of our most favorite things to do.

Oceanside - Sitting up to eat

This is our first night in Oceanside eating at the Jolly Roger. Austin has taken to sitting up rather than reclining - especially when it comes time to eat.

This is lunch at Ruby's on our last full day in Oceanside. Austin is still very much into sitting at the table.

Oceanside Photos - Lost Wages

We stayed in Vegas at Circus Circus, which was a surpising good experience considering we paid $29 for the night. Austin's mommy and daddy were tired, so we ate and went to bed - hence the one and only Vegas photo.

Oceanside Photos - On the way!

Austin must have the travel bug like his parents. He did really well on this trip. We drove all the way to St. George before we had to stop - as much us as Austin. This is a picture of Ben feeding Austin in front of the Texaco on Bluff Street - Austin's first St. George experience!
