Ferris Wheel

Trip to Vegas

Daddy had to go to Las Vegas to attend a conference for work. He booked a room at Circus Circus thinking that maybe there would be some things to do as a family. That ended up being a good idea. The motel gave us two free vouchers in their Adventure Dome for rides. Daddy took Austin on BC the Bus and the kiddie ferris wheel. Austin was a little nervous on the bus - he was nervous enough that he pooped his pants. He loved the ferris wheel - it went a little slower and he could wave to momma.

Keegs, Jason, and Austin on Memorial Day Weekend

We stopped by Great-Grandma and Grandpa V.'s house for Memorial Day weekend. It was really fun to see all of the cousins and relatives. Austin really enjoyed playing with Jason and Keegan. Cousins are the best!

Austin's First Trip to the Zoo

Austin loved his trip to the zoo. The elephants were pretty cool and so were the giraffes. Austin wasn't so sure about the train, but the funny red monkeys were the best. All and all, I think he would be willing to go back!

Eating Fun

Lawn Mower

It looks like the Easter Bunny left Austin a big surprise after the egg hunt - a talking lawn mower!! The Easter bunny also left Austin a carry bag for when he comes to visit his Grandma.

Easter with Grandma and Grandpa J.

Austin experienced his first Easter egg hunt with Grandma and Grandpa J. It took a little coaxing, but once he realized that the fun-colored plastic things had candy inside, he was more enthusiastic. Funny thing, he still plays with those plastic eggs.

First Wagon Ride

Austing got a big red wagon for his birthday from Grandma and Grandpa V. Up until this day, he played with it inside the house - throwing his toys in and out of it, opening and closing the door, and learning how to crawl in and out of it. Finally, the weather has cooperated enough that Daddy could take him for a ride. He loves it. He cruised down the sidewalk with a huge smile on his face just looking at everything - especially the cars driving by. I think we will definitely go for more walks.

Playing Fetch with Sadie

Austin loves animals. I likes to chase Dakota around the house with a spoon and play string or throw the mouse at him. He also loves to pat (or hit) Sadie on the head and play fetch. He gets...a little excited.

Baby's First Haircut

Ironically, at the time of this post Austin needs another haircut (yes, we're a little slow posting). Nevertheless, here is a cute video of Grandpa V. giving Austin his first (and a little unwelcomed) haircut.

Austin's Best Friend

Once in a while, Austin's best friend, Ryan, comes to play. Ryan is a year older and the son of Laura, a friend of Jen's. He is very kind and patient with Austin practically worships the ground he walks on. Austin always gets very upset when Ryan has to go, but loves to play with him when he's here.

Baby's First Words

Austin had to show off his first words for Great-Grandpa Diamond back in March 13

Birthday

Austin had an excellent birthday. Lots of people came to visit and there were lots of presents. Austin also got to tell everyone in his own way that he was going to be a big brother - Little Spencer will be coming to stay next October!

First Words

Austin decided to demonstrate his first words while visiting Great-Grandma and Grandpa Diamond down in Provo. But when he realized that Daddy was holding a very interesting object, talking was over. He can be quite focused and determined when he wants to be.

Grandpa and Fish

The Gift Shop

We, of course, ended up at the aquarium's gift shop, but there were no Austin-sized sharks for us to buy - just ugly little snakes. Austin got a kick out of them anyway.

Austin at the Aquarium for His Birthday

Grandma and Grandpa V. came with us to the aquarium to celebrate his birthday. Austin's first exposure to fish was at Sea World in San Diego (see older posts) when he was three months old and he loved it then. He was even more into the fish this time around. It was especially fun with the grandparents.
