Austin Discovers Automated Christmas Toys

Great-Grandpa Diamond is known for his plethora of Christmas decorations including his four automated Christmas toys. He has an ape named Henry that sings and waves his arms, a pair of snowmen that sing about eating candy, a band of various Christmas characters that play songs, and a dancing and singing Santa. The latter was Austin's favorite, as you can tell from the video.

Spencer's First Bath

So just a few days after Spencer came home, we gave him a bath. It was a very...vocal experience. Let's just say the boy has a decent set of lungs.

Superman!

When Austin was born, one of the ward members gave him this set of pajamas. Since he's only just now big enough to wear them and it just happens to be Halloween, Austin (and his parents) decided that he would be Superman (or Manman as Austin would say).

Carving Pumpkins

For the first time as a family, we carved two pumpkins for Halloween. Austin had picked two out with Grandma and Grandpa Jameson, so we decided we'd carve them. Austin got a kick out of the guts and really liked it when the pumpkins were lit up.

Welcome Home Baby Spencer!

Ahhhh, it's good to be home!

Jen's Cub Scouts made this sign and had it posted before we arrived home from the hospital.

Daddy and his two sons.

Life is good. Welcome home little buddy. Your momma, daddy, and brother love you lots and lots and lots. We're glad you're here.

Austin Checks Out His New Little Brother

This first picture says it all. Despite some competition for attention, Austin loves his new baby brother. We're very proud of the way he has accepted and loved Spencer on his own level - helping burp Spencer, change his diapers, rock him in the bouncer, and giving out frequent hugs and kisses. He's a good big brother and Spencer is very lucky.

Here Austin is helping Grandma V. feed Spencer.

Austin is checking out Spencer's toes. They're pretty small, but Austin thought they looked something like his own.

More Visitors

Grandpa Jameson had a cold, so he had to wear a mask. Spencer, however, was too tired to care.

Great-Grandma and Grandpa Viehweg stopped by as well. That's four great-grandsons for them!
